Welcome to the B58 Winery in Beaulieu

Where tradition meets innovation

OUR STORY

Situated in the picturesque New Forest National Park and a stone’s throw from the Isle of Wight, the B58 Winery boasts a wonderful microclimate, rich soil and a dedicated and passionate team.

The history of growing vines in Beaulieu goes back decades, with Beaulieu residents Robert and Margaret Gore-Brown at the forefront of the English vineyard revival, with grapes initially grown to make brandy.

Fast forward to 2023, and following decades of successful fruit farming and more specifically of growing strawberries and asparagus in tunnels, Sandy Booth, Owner and Vigneron of the B58 Winery, had a dream to apply the same innovative and sustainable growing techniques he uses for his soft fruit business to grow vines.

The innovative growing approach, paired with a traditional and low intervention winemaking skill set results in the opportunity to grow grape varieties which are not usually successfully grown in the UK, including Gewürztraminer grapes.

Our inaugural collection was launched in 2025 and in March this year we released our Beaulieu Orange and Beaulieu White wines.

OUR FOUNDER

Thanks to his passion and his pioneering vision, with Beaulieu 58 Wines, Sandy Booth has successfully scaled up an innovative vine growing environment in the world of UK still wines.

Sandy has extensive knowledge and experience in fruit farming, and by applying the same growing practices in tunnels, from his thriving soft fruit growing side of the business to growing grape varieties not usually successfully grown in the UK, he has made one of his dreams become a reality.

Attending to grape vine

“I have always been passionate about wine, especially the process and the magic that happens to go from vine to bottle. When the opportunity to make wine in an innovative, sustainable and low intervention way appeared, I just had to follow my vision and so, the Beaulieu 58 Wines were born.”

OUR WINES

"Our innovative and sustainable approach to vine growing allows us to retain the soil’s natural resilience and keep human intervention to a minimum, allowing nature to do what it does best and produce the best vines possible, within the most favourable environment.".

OUR WINEMAKER

Guillaume Lagger, a Swiss oenologist with a passion for low intervention wine production, firmly believes that if you can get the soil, the climate and the human aspect of winemaking to work in harmony, you can produce some of the best fruit and create wines full of complexity.

The quality of the wine Guillaume produces is his daily goal and his involvement in establishing B58 wines has been instrumental in achieving the award-winning wines that we have today.

Guillaume Lagger

“I want to cultivate the vines to their full potential by keeping my intervention to a strict minimum. I believe in discovery, enrichment and pleasure when it comes to both the winemaking process and the enjoyment of the wines themselves”
